FIS 6850:FinTech Payments Security and Assurance3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours This course examines security and assurance issues related to digital payments. Students will learn about framework and standards such as NIST cybersecurity framework, ISO 27001 information security management, and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Students will also investigate PCI DSS requirements in the context of the larger framework of digital payments security, which can help organizations understand the motivation for each security standard requirement. Strategies for successful implementation of each requirement will also be examined.
