MET 4341:Automation Systems and Controls2 Class Hours 3 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: (ENGR 3122 or MET 3126 ) Concurrent: ECET 3000 The technology of integrating automation equipment for use in engineering systems is covered. Students design simulations and complete fully-automated projects involving the human-machine interfacing of analog and digital sensors, actuators, motors, machines, flexible automation devices, and other material handling systems. Advanced process control software is used for programing and sensory techniques, as well as automatic open and closed-loop systems, and PID feedback control.
