SOCI 4464:Population and Demography3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours This course is concerned with virtually everything that influences, or can be influenced, by population size, distribution, processes, structure, or characteristics. This course addresses the causes and consequences of population change, such as fertility, mortality, migration, technology, lifestyle and culture. Changes in population affect health and illness, the environment and its capacity, urbanization, family and household formation, aging, the labor force, poverty, government policies and business marketing strategies.
