EE 6650:Distributed Energy Systems3 hours per week Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to the MSAE program This course presents the fundamentals of distributed energy systems, covering the principles of renewable/green energy generation, power conversion concepts, and integration methods of renewable energy systems to the electric grid. Modeling of power systems, analysis and design, is achieved through extensive use of MATLAB-Simulink software. Power flow control and robust stability analysis is covered. Lecture three hours weekly.
