FILM 3125:Introduction to TV Writing3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 This class introduces students to fundamental and foundational techniques of writing for television such as formatting, television act structure, character development, television plot function, and dialogue. Students will study television writing theory and practice techniques as they develop an original (short) pilot script. Students will learn about professional standards and best industry practices. Table readings, one-on-one conferences, and peer revision techniques may be used.
