ENGL 4240:Rhetorical Theory3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 This advanced course is a study of major texts in rhetorical theory from antiquity to the present, focusing on the significant issues in rhetoric, especially the relationship of language to truth and knowledge. Students gain practice in using rhetorical concepts to analyze both literary and non-literary texts and to produce effective written and spoken arguments.
