ECE 3313:Preschool Curriculum and Assessment3 Class Hours 1 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education program In this course candidates design and implement developmentally appropriate, standards-based curriculum and lessons for preschool children; practice developmentally appropriate screening and assessment with preschool children; and describe effective techniques for working with young children with challenging behaviors. A 30-hour field experience required. Candidates must pass the College of Education’s mandatory background check and a mandatory state Bright from the Start criminal background check prior to beginning field experience.
Notes: Verification of professional liability insurance is required prior to placement in the field experience.
