PSYC 3205:Psychology of Child Development3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: PSYC 1101 In this course students examine the developmental time period from conception through early adolescence with a major focus on ages 36 months to 15 years. The course covers the biological, emotional, social, language, and motor changes children experience as they develop. Using contemporary theory, research, and methods relevant to developmental psychology, the class emphasizes individual differences, the influence and importance of the environment and relationships for healthy development, and the sociocultural context of development.
