PSYC 3130:Psychology of Aging3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: PSYC 1101 This course provides both a general introduction to the multi-disciplinary field of gerontology and a specific emphasis on those aspects of aging behavior that are of particular interest to psychologists, namely, learning and memory, intellectual behaviors, attitudes, personality, psychopathology, perception, and clinical intervention. The primary purpose of the course is to provide a theoretical and empirical basis for understanding the aging process. Aging from a multicultural perspective is considered.
