ACCT 9001:Introduction to Research3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission into the PhD in Business Administration Program. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the fundamentals of business research, including but not limited to: the fundamental philosophical orientations in research, the role of theory in business research, integrity and ethics in research, and an overview of major research designs. Students will learn the major components of a research article and what is required for effective academic writing. Each subject is introduced through a textbook chapter and/or research articles covering relevant aspects. Wherever possible, faculty will attempt to tie the course content back to the students’ individual research interests.
