BIOL 6460:Medical Microbiology3 Class Hours 3 Laboratory Hours 4 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission and enrollment in the Master of Science in Integrative Biology program, or permission of the coordinator of the graduate program; a grade of “C” or better in BIOL 3340K or equivalent. This course will explore the disease process of, the immune response to, and the prevention and treatment of the medically important Monera, Viruses, Fungi, and some microscopic Protista with emphasis on emerging infections, including a laboratory experience that focuses on enhancing laboratory and investigative skills.
