SW 7700:Social Work Foundations: Diversity, Social Justice and Ethics3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to the MSW program. As an introductory course, Social Work Foundations: Diversity, Social Justice and Ethics, provides a conceptual framework for students by addressing the foundation knowledge, values and skills associated with the profession, and the ethical standards and principles embedded in the SW Code of Ethics. Knowledge of discrimination, oppression, social and economic justice are explored. The course explores the value base of the profession and affords opportunities for students to engage in activities to develop skills associated with cultural and ethnic sensitive practice
