SCI 7726:Life Science3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to graduate study in education. This course will explore concepts and processes in the biological sciences appropriate to the teachers of adolescent and young adult learners. Emphasis will be placed on the structure and function of cells, the genetic basis for the transfer of biological characteristics from one generation to the next, diversity and classification of living things, and the role of natural selection in the development of the theory of evolution. Individual projects will focus on materials appropriate for particular age groups.
