ECE 7723:Best Practices for Researched-Based Reading and Writing Instruction in Elementary Grades3 Class Hours 3 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to the M.Ed. in Reading program. This course will examine dominant theoretical approaches and current empirical research related to reading and writing instruction in the elementary grades. A range of social, physical, cognitive, motivational, linguistic, and sociocultural factors that affect the reading and writing learning process will also be addressed.
