CHEM 3105L - Inorganic Synthesis

Corequisites CHEM 3100 or 3120.
Laboratory course to introduce the concepts and practices of inorganic synthetic chemistry. Emphasis is on the synthesis, characterization, reactivity, structure, and other properties of the inorganic compounds and complexes. The course introduces standard methodology for the synthesis and characterization of known com-pounds. Team research projects then incorporate the same methods for the synthesis and characterization of new compounds yet to be reported in the literature.
