MGT 4700:Hospitality Management3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Business Majors: Sophomore GPA Requirement and MGT 3100 ; Non-business Majors: MGT 3100 and permission of the Coles College of Business. This survey course provides students with an understanding of the Hospitality Industry and the role it plays in the both the U.S. and global economies. This course provides an overview of hospitality management areas such as lodging, food service, travel, and entertainment and career opportunities in each area. The main goal of the course is to expose students to the hospitality industry and provide an understanding of the unique aspects of managing businesses in this industry.
