CS 7040 - Digital Forensics3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: CS 6040. A comprehensive study of the technological, systematic inspection and analysis of the computing systems and its contents for evidence or supportive evidence of a crime. Includes focus on legal systems, digital forensics and its relationship to other forensic disciplines, rules of evidence, search and seizure, digital evidence, and media analysis. Students will conduct in-depth research and maintain advanced proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in digital forensics field.
