ARED 7701 - Special Topics in Art Education3 Credit Hours 3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours Prerequisites: ARED 6200L and ARED 7702. Emerging issues in the field of art education are explored on a semester-by-semester basis. Through the examination of historical and contemporary art forms, candidates understand how aesthetic theories allow greater understanding of the quality, nature and value of diverse works of art, cultural art forms and visual culture. Candidates comprehend how all works of art have meaning including those from literature, theater, dance, music and other subject areas thus revealing lessons about life, its paradoxes, contradictions, harmonies, unattractiveness, and beauty.
