LATN 4500 - Topics in Latin Prose3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: LATN 3500 or permission of the instructor. In this course, students read and analyze Latin prose by various writers. The course content focuses on one or more of the following prose writers: Livy, Caesar, Cicero, Tacitus, Propertius, Tibullus, or Seneca. Students review Latin grammar and syntax, build vocabulary, and develop a variety of reading strategies. Readings are in Latin; instruction is in English. The course may be repeated once for credit with permission of department chair when content differs.
