MGT 4170 - Strategic Human Resource Management3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Business Majors: Sophomore GPA Requirement and MGT 3100; Non-business Majors: MGT 3100 and permission of the Coles College of Business. This course provides a functional overview of human resource management areas including strategic human resource planning, employee staffing, compensation and benefit systems, performance assessment, training and development, and labor relations. Emphasis is placed upon the development of managerial competencies to conduct selection interviews, performance appraisals, and workplace dispute negotiations.
