SW 7706 - Introduction to Social Work Research3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to graduate study. The objective of this course is to apply research concepts and principles to the actual conduct of studies addressing questions relevant to direct practice with individuals, families, and groups. The course prepares students for active roles in practice and program evaluation. An introduction to the use of computers in statistical analysis is included. The course provides a beginning understanding and appreciation of the principles and techniques of social work research and statistics and their application to social work practice. Highlighted are techniques which are used to study organizations and communities
