ESL 1106 - Pronunciation Seminar for International Students3 Credit Hours 3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours Prerequisites ENGL 0099 and READ 0099, if required. This course is an individualized and small group seminar open to all Kennesaw State University students for whom English is a second language. The course is designed to assist intermediate to advanced ESL students in pronunciation, focusing on North American English (NAE), including consonant and vowel sounds, stress, rhythm, and intonation. Emphasis will be placed on communicating effectively in authentic situations, self- and peer-monitoring, connecting listening with speaking, and eliminating distracting speech elements.
