SM 3900:Foundations of Recreation and Leisure3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: SM 2100 , minimum 2.75 Institutional GPA. This course provides a foundation for the study of recreation and leisure and the organizations that deliver recreational services. It includes an overview of the philosophical, historical, social, cultural, and political factors which influence recreation and leisure. The course emphasizes the role of the professional in the delivery of recreational services.
